Success Stories

Success Story: Ben

We met Lana when my son Ben was around 4 months old. He has a rare genetic mutation that has resulted in severe physical disability. Lana has always been amazing with him. Her knowledge, patience and kindness has helped us to make some great strides with Ben!

We have so much more confidence in how we can help him, and he is better able to experience and interact with the world.

It doesn't hurt that she also gets some of the best smiles out of him! With her help we are excited to see what the future holds for our little guy.

Success Story: Preston

Our son started speech at 2 years of age with a different SLP. A few months later (and no verbal progress having yet been made) he "landed" with Kristina. Within a few sessions of seeing her he began to progress!

Kristina's patience, encouraging ways and creative ability to find a reward that he would be excited about and work for contributed greatly to his desire to work hard. Kristina worked with him for years, ultimately bringing him to the place of release from speech therapy.

During those years (of 2-3x a week visits) a friendship began to blossom. Our son continued through middle school, high school and graduation with no further need for SLP services. And as Kristina can still attest, it's hard to get him to stop talking even today!

“Finding the right SLP for your kiddos is KEY and we found our perfect match in Kristina!”

Success Story: Vinny

When we were told our son could use some help with his fine and gross motor skills, I was overwhelmed with feelings of guilt, for not noticing sooner and wishing I had done more to prevent this. From the very first session, Lauren was nothing but loving, attentive, supportive, and confident that she could help strengthen his skills.

She provided exercises and techniques for us to work on at home and within a few weeks, his daycare was commenting on his improvements. I couldn’t believe the progress, in such a short time of working with Lauren.

And most importantly, I loved how excited our son was for OT days—he genuinely enjoyed every minute spent with her.

Success Story: Brea

Lana was a true godsend for our family. Our daughter started working with her at three years old to help her recover from a broken leg. Brea was timid, anxious, and so scared of getting hurt again. Lana worked hard to build a relationship with Brea so she would trust her and it worked better than I could’ve wished for. Brea looked forward to working with Lana which in turn helped her progress quickly.

She became the confident girl she wanted to be. Her legs became stronger, she improved her balance and I truly believe it helped her prevent future injuries.

“Miss Lana” helped our daughter in so many ways and we are forever grateful for her skills and sincere love to help kids.

Success Story: Evan

Kristina is such an incredible speech therapist! I have always been impressed with how much Kristina squeezes into a therapy session with my son. Even when they are taking a “break”, she is always working on important skills to improve his speech and language.

She also takes into account all aspects of my son’s personality and ability level to create the most effective plan for him.

On top of being fantastic at what she does, she is very likeable and my son really looks forward to seeing her each week.

“From pointing and grunting (at 2.5 years) to being voted "most talkative" (at age 18), Kristina gets the credit (and the blame -ha!)!”

Success Story: Dean

Our son was in physical therapy from ages 3 to 8. In that time he had seen many therapists and always made slow, but steady, progress. Then one day, Lana was assigned to work with our son and we immediately saw him trying much harder than ever.

He was excited and motivated to do his absolute best.

Lana is a physical therapist but her passion for her patients is what separates her for everyone else. She genuinely cares for her patients and we feel that the results our son had with Lana are second-to-none. We cannot express the gratitude our family has for everything she has done for him. She even got him to get over his fear of riding a two wheeler. Most parents see their kids hop on bikes and take off, but to this day it still puts a smile on my face. Thank you, Lana!!

Success Story: Cameron

My two year old son has been struggling with overall communication and his day-to-day capabilities. While visiting speech two times a week, our therapist recommended occupational therapy. Not being in the medical field I was unsure what this was and how it could help my son. On his first day of OT he met Lauren and it felt like he knew who she was his entire life. Lauren treated my son like her own, she truly cared not only about him but I can tell she cares for all of her patients.

When seeing Lauren, my son has always had a smile on his face and has learned so much from Lauren. Certain day-to-day activities I would have never thought to sit down and teach my son, she did and months later he still does what she taught him during their sessions.

I would highly recommend sending your child to Lauren, she did a lot in such a short amount of time and we are forever grateful.
