Sara Klatt

M.A. CCC-SLP

I’m Sara Klatt, and I have been a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for the last 9 years.  I went to Michigan State University (Go Green!) for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees.  I became an SLP because I wanted to make sure EVERYONE has a way to communicate their wants, needs and feelings.

After I graduated from Michigan State, I moved to Indianapolis and worked for the Indiana University Health System.  Initially, I worked
on a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) unit with adults in acute care at Methodist Hospital, before moving over to Riley Hospital for Children. During my time at IU Health, I primarily worked with patients on feeding skills across a variety of age-ranges (Truly one day I saw a 1 day old and a 101 year old back to back…).  Feeding and Swallowing Disorders became an area of interest that I carried over into an outpatient setting when I moved back to Michigan in 2015 to work for the Beaumont Health System.  In addition to Feeding Skills, Early Language Development and Childhood Apraxia of Speech also became my primary caseload during my time at Beaumont Health.

Throughout my career as a Speech Pathologist, I have loved helping my clients find pride in their communication skills and discover a love of eating new foods! I’m so happy to be a part of the Fundamental Therapy Team!
